The purpose of this survey is to open the lens of AGE in our discourse and to raise our consciousness about AGEISM, an issue of social justice we often ignore. The survey is divided into two parts. Part One is a list of statements on age and aging that shape our discourse in SIS Seminar. Part Two is a list of statements that reflect attitudes toward and assumptions about elders, regardless of race or gender. For purposes of this survey, the word, elders, refers to men or women who are at least seventy years of age.
We thank you for assisting us in our efforts to open the lens of AGE in discourse at Spelman College.
